Hello! This is my first pothos plant! And my third plant in my collection. I have a friend who suggested leaving it be for two weeks so that it can adjust from the shock of leaving the store. I did take it from its pot and dump out a little bit of the soil that was left and added some soil for exotic plants. I didn’t realize I also shouldn’t have done that but the roots were growing out of the bottom and I thought it needed a bigger pot. Anywho, it’s still in the nursery pot but it’s sitting inside of the yellow planter. There’s about two inches all around it.

      I’m going to be patient but I’m excited that one vine has roots on every node so once she’s adjusted I’ll give her a nice hair cut and have a beautiful full planter, plus gifts for friends!

      Yes!!! I have a house full of pothos and have made TONS of hostess gifts all from a single pothos cutting! They’re such great growers!

    It’s pretty hard to kill these guys! It’ll be fine. It might even be happier if you put it in a bigger pot

    Roots growing out the bottom aren’t a sure sign that it needs up potting, Pothos like to be be snug so I’d wait until it also starts getting many yellow leaves as a sign to repot. But leaving it be for 2 weeks is good advice as it might have pests and you don’t want to infect your other plants. So I leave mine isolated for a couple weeks as well as do a generous spray of isopropyl alcohol/dr bronners peppermint Castile soap/water mixture to take care of any buggies. I’ll also water with a 4:1 water:hydrogen peroxide mix for the first water to take care of any soil borne buggies (not in the same day as the pest spray) Pothos like to dry out 100% so don’t water without checking that they need it first and you’ll have a good long happy life together. They’re great plants and really very hearty. You got this!
