Hello, I been having trouble with my silver pothos. I’ve had the plant for less than a year, I’m surprised it hasn’t died. I repotted it about 6 months ago. It was in my office about a month ago and it wasn’t loving it so I moved her to the bathroom where she gets light and humidity. She’s been misbehaving since she has arrived. Her leaves are always curled even with a good watering schedule. Please help

I have this plant too. Her leaves are curling because she’s not getting watered enough.

And yes, sometimes they will just stay crawled if you don’t water them and let it just stay that way.

I do water it at least once a week if not every 8-9 days

What kind of soil is this? And i think this kind of pot sucks up the water so you may need to be watering even more frequently.

I think I’m just going to propagate

I used my own potting soil, with charcoal, perlite, and worm castings

This could be caused by the soil or the terracotta pot. Are you measuring moisture of the soil before watering? I’m asking because the soil could be hydrophobic, meaning it’s not actually absorbing any water and keeping the plant dry. Or the soil could just be too chunky for this plant and not retaining enough water.

Well it’s a soil that I been using for all my plants and they are all doing great. But I’ll probably do more research on which soil to use and maybe use plastic pots?

I parked mine in front of a south facing window all winter. I water when the leaves start to curl and the soil is dry. I fertilize in warmer weather with every other watering which is about twice a month for my plant in an 8 inch hanging basket. See the pic. It’s in the original pot from a year ago. I would change up everything on your plant since the plant is not happy in the current set up. I recommend the following: - I would change the potting mix to standard mix with lots of perlite or a mix labeled for alocasias. I have a silvery Anne and three scindapus plants all in a mix similar to my alocasia mix. They are thriving. The pots feel light when the soil is dry and very heavy when the soil is wet. Your other plants may do well in the current mix. There maybe something in the soil your plant doesn’t like. - I would reduce the pot size. I found my plant likes being root bound. It’s doubled in size in the same pot. - Add a grow light to give about 10 hours of light to the plant to help the plant use more water through, take in more fertilizer and grow better through photosynthesis. - Fertilize twice a month with diluted fertilizer

Any Pothos are great in plastic pot. Plus they don’t need direct sunlight just bright room.
