Hi guys this is my plant! Ive had it about 6 months now. I repotted it last month because the soil was gross and when I repotted it, it had the brown spots on the green leaves as shown. It has had them for awhile and hasn’t really spread so I was wondering what it was? Additionally after I repotted it and watered it the one leaf turned yellow very fast and hasn’t started to die. What can I do and what caused it? I water it about every 2-3 weeks and its always near a window, also the roots look fine

It’s overwatered based on the leaves yellowing almost immediately. The pot looks too big for a pothos that size especially if it takes 3 weeks to dry out. The soil for a plant that small should dry out in a week or less. A plant should be able to use up all the water in the soil to dry it out before the next watering. The pot is too big if it can’t. I recommend reducing the pot size to one just big enough to hold the roots without the excess soil. Excess soil holds too much water on the roots too long causing root rot. The yellowing and brown leaves are signs of rot. 🍀🪴

What width is the current pot? I can’t see the volume of roots. There should be about one half inch of space around the sides and bottom of the root ball. This gives it enough room for growth without excess soil. Also, fertilize once a month in winter when it grows slower.

Reduce it to a 4” or 5” pot. A Plastic pot is fine. Terracotta will pull a lot of water from the pot if you are not careful with it. Cut off the damaged leaves. Let the soil almost dry out or completely dry out before watering again. Do not use a strict watering schedule. Check the soil every time.
