My roommate rescued this pothos from her job who were going to throw it out! It has clearly outgrown its pot and was never rotated for light. I’m a rather new plant parent so any tips to rehab this baby would be appreciated! When I repot this is there a way I can balance out the vines or promote more growth on the bare side?

    You can spin the plant so only the bare side is getting light or… You can try to split up the stems so they’re spaced out a bit better when you repot. Just make sure to go slow or you can hose off all the soil so you can untangle roots a bit better. When you repot make sure to trim any soft or mushy roots. I use a well draining soil. I like to drench it with water, superthrive, and a fertilizer right after to try to help any shock. Oh and check for any bugs!

    I took a shorter vine and spun it around on top of the soil and lightly pinned it down to fill in my pothos. She was getting a bit thin on top. The nodes have rooted now so I’m hoping to get more vines off it!

    I would chop and prop. Then, use the rooted props to fill out the back side after repotting. I would cut off 1/3 to 1/2 of each vine. Propagate in water until the roots get at least 2 inches long. Repot the old plant with new props to a slightly larger pot. Add a grow light on top (12 hrs/day) or rotate daily if placed in a window. 🪴🍀
