Hey guys! So Hope’s roots have begun to grow outside of the bottom of the pot (picture 1). But she also seems really happy since there’s a ton of new growth (pictures 2, 3, 4) and the leaves look great. I also know that pothos usually grow really long and big, and she hasn’t really grown into her pot yet. Should I repot or keep her the way she is? Are the roots a problem?
Pothos enjoy being slightly root bound. Mine Is the same way and it’s thriving. I pulled mine out tho to see the root system.

If it’s thriving fine but don’t allow it to go pass the growing season to do any repotting don’t want to stunt the growth even more because it needs that space to trail and travel. I would repot before September for sure

She seems happy! Just because roots are coming out doesn’t necessarily mean root bound. I wouldn’t be too concerned with it as long as you’re getting healthy growth! I transition all of my plants into clear nursery pots to keep a better eye on the roots. Something to think about if you do decide to repot!

Pull off the pot to see the condition and density of the roots. Repot only if there are more roots than soil. Wait until next spring if the roots look fine.

Totally fine to have roots grow out the bottom. I would only repot if you’re having to water more frequently than is sustainable or if you notice growth slows substantially without a better explanation.
