    Though they do seem to have a lot of roots you could wait a bit longer! Or even go up just one size with some soil on the bottom (and sides of course) and not disturbing the original soil to prevent growth slowing!

      Thank you! I just don’t wanna have to cut the roots if they get too bad

      With the size of the drainage holes it should be fairly easy to wiggle out! Good luck! They are beautiful!

    I would wait. I typically wait until there’s 80-90% roots and less soil before upsizing. Pothos can stand to be root bound!

    I've been known to lift my pothos out of the pot, wind the longer roots back into the ball and put it right back into its pot 🫣 I don't know if I recommend it, but my pothos all seem fine? If you try it, do it over some sort of potting tarp or similar so you can dump all the loose dirt right back on top when you're done

    Pothos send exploratory roots everywhere, you don’t need to repot anything until the roots circle the pot 2-3+ times. Technically, plants don’t need repotting unless they no longer have the resources to grow and they stop all new growth, or have to kill off old growth every time new growth comes. If you want to repot it you can, but my I’ve seen a 48’ long pothos crawling across a house, housed only in an 8” pot
