I bought my satin pothos, Sara, a new trellis today. **old trellis on left, new one on the right** After a rainy afternoon of watching plant care videos on YouTube, I’m thinking I need to just make her a moss pole. What do you think? Should I leave her on her new trellis or get her a pole geared up? She lives in a 7in ceramic pot in our north facing bedroom window. She has grown a ton since moving to this location. Nice thick stalk now and leaves getting bigger!

She looks so pretty on the trellis! I would leave her there, since she looks pretty happy.

She may need more light. The distance between the leaf nodes are much wider on most of the vines compared to the distances at the oldest base of the plant. The vines are growing fast to look for light creating the larger gaps between the leaves. Mine did the same during winter when it was inside getting less light.

The small leaves and etiolated vines are the growth of my plant during winter when it was inside the house without a grow light, but, at a south facing window. It needed more light.

I’d say more light, and a moss pole would be very good, you’d get quick upsizing that way. I have a small vine growing up my wall right now, it really likes it.

How do you guys extend a moss pole when the plant outgrows it?
