What black stuff? I need to check all mine then!
0 LikesI’m not sure what the black stuff is, I just left it there, I’m scared to remove anything and kill it. Lol X
0 LikesSo pretty 😍
0 Likesyou don’t need to remove anything from your pothos. i think what sabrina is referring to is the way the bits of spent sheaths can turn dark…but your plant doesn’t need you to remove any of that. the only stuff you should be concerned with removing are black or rotting leaves (and figuring out the cause)
2 LikesAlso don't keep it in full sun. Mostly shade or indirect light. It will burn in the sun.
1 LikeDo you think this is a good location in bathroom ? X
0 Likespothos needs sun for good leaf growth. more light = bigger leaves. i wouldn’t put it right in a south facing (the leaves will bleach) but east or west facing is great — they thrive with a splash of direct sun. pothos does well in the bathroom if there’s good light. yours looks very happy! more light would give it larger leaves, but your golden has lots of good variegation on the new leaves which indicates adequate light 😎☀️
2 Likeslooks great! keep doing what you’re doing 😎☀️
0 LikesThe leaf stems have water pockets and once they turn black I take them off if they are white keep them. Also I like to remove the small bulbs that grow down the vine they look like a black mole lol I cut it down to the vine for more growth of leaves.
0 Likesyou’re removing aerial roots. i wouldn’t do that ever…they use those to anchor, climb, and absorb water & nutrients. they can also be used to start new plants
2 LikesGreat corrected info to give, don’t want a pothos dying on us lol
1 LikeI’m not sure if you mean blossom as in flower, but pothos generally don’t flower because many aren’t able to grow it to the maturity it takes to flower, however even in the wild they rarely flower. I’d say if you want to go all out for best leaf growth and development you can take a cutting, root it, then set it up in a pot with a mesh spagnum moss pole, this will give its aerial roots more of a chance to cling and climb which it normally does in the wild. This gives the plant twice as much potential to get water and nutrients. You just have to water and fertilize the moss pole regularly.
