I know I’ve posted a lot today but I’m just getting all my worries out I guess lol. Ive had this pothos for forever (seriously it was probably my third plant Ive had it for at least 4 years now) so it’s been a while lol. I’ve noticed recently its leaves have been getting smaller and smaller and it’s lost a few in specific spots. The small leaves thing is especially noticeable on its baby (I gave it to my brother who promptly didn’t water it for at least a month) so i consider it a rescue. I gave her a good drink and ever since she’s been on my schedule she’s been producing leaves like crazy, the only thing is her leaves are SUPER small. (My finger for reference) the bathroom that the baby is in is a little low light but considering I’ve noticed it with both and my bigger one has plenty of light I assumed it wasn’t that. Any ideas as to what I can fix?

    Mine did this and I read somewhere (grain of salt) that when the leaves trail without support they naturally get smaller. I have zero scientific explanation there, but I will say I gave mine a bit of a haircut and propagated the cuttings and it helped!

      I could see this but Ive also always had them trailing and never noticed this, I think it’s just the change in like from the seasons changing. I’ll try propagating a little bit of see if it helps (plant experiments lol)

    Could it need a bigger pot?

      I hope it’s not that since I just repotted my big one 5 months ago and my smaller one has tons of room still (at least it looks like tons of room to me)

    There are a couple possibilities. She may need to be repotted; she may be getting too little light; or she went from being able to climb to only trailing. Whenever they climb they will get bigger with every new leaf. Remember every leaf takes energy so if she’s running out of room, she is gonna produce smaller leaves.

      I could see the light being an issue I was really hoping it wasn’t that since I can’t really move them and the whole room gets about the same amount of sunlight. I’ll try to move a few things out of the way and see if that helps a little thank you!

    What do you use to fertilize?

      I don’t usually fertilize very constantly and when I do I usually only use miracle grow. It’s bad it’s just kinda expensive especially when they seemed to be doing okay.

      It may just be a little hungry! Fertilizer is pricey for sure. If you have a little around, though, you could add some to your next watering and see if that helps!
