Does my pothos need help or are some of the leaves just getting old at the bottom. I love the top!

It looks like that pot is too big for it so the roots might not be getting adequate water. Maybe try repotting it in a smaller pot?
2 Me gustaThe roots are actually poking through the bottom in one area. Thanks so much for the suggestion

that pot still looks too wide for the plant — i agree with repotting. browning could be lack of humidity
2 Me gustaIt actually looked longer at one point though
0 Me gustaHello Vivian! I have been growing pothos for about 6 years now and I have noticed with some upbringing of pothos plants they do like to feel “protected” is what I like to call it. They thrive on feeling secure on either a moss pole or anything for stability including the pots they’re planted in. I would advise maybe not go deeper but maybe find a pot with a smaller diameter. Give that baby a soil hug! But remember not too tight 😊 I hope this helps you out!!!
1 me gustaI agree with the above comments. The pot looks too big. The yellowing is an indication of too much water on the roots. The soil is drying too slowly and/or you are watering too often. It will continue to yellow and drop leaves. Also, airflow in the room helps to dry the moisture of the top soil when the soil is near the rim of the pot. The top of the soil is too deep in the pot. Roots coming out the bottom is only an indication the plant found water below the pot to sustain those protruding roots. It’s not an indication the roots are snug in the pot. 🍀🪴
2 Me gustaThanks so much everyone I’ll try to repot it soon with a smaller diameter and pot in general. One whole leaf came off closer to the soil by the other ones coloring already. It makes sense now to me with everyone explanations. I’ll start checking the soil more instead of following the app.
