Snowstorm

Sorry to post again so soon, but i think i sun burnt my pothos. Does this look like sunburn? She was outside in a NE porch that only gets sun til about 12-1p. She’s just been sprayed for spider mites so I was leaving her out in quarantine since I had no where else to put her. She’s normally in a SW window and gets direct sun for an hour or two around 3-4. Should I cut these black leafs off? I don’t see any other pests just the remnants of the bronners soap/alcohol/water spider mite spray.

did the leaves have the spray on them when they went into the sun? that could have caused burning, although when I see black like this my head goes to rot

It didn’t have any wet spray on it…. Am I supposed to wash off that mixture? I took it out to the porch in the evening and it was cloudy all day, sprayed her and left her to dry/quarantine outside. She only gets watered when she’s 100% dry ( and usually 2 days after bc I wanna make sure she’s actually dry) she needed to be watered when I sprayed her for the mites but since I’d just done the mites spray I was holding off on watering her. The next day was pretty sunny tho. And she didn’t have those spots when I sprayed her for mites, I was all up in her leaves so I’d def of noticed.

It could be overwatering (I tend to do that if I spray treat my plants for pests) or an environment change—which sounds likely! You can cut them. I would. Even though that takes away the fullness, it also takes away the leaf that’s sucking energy from the others.

I’m picky about her so she’s only watered when she’s 100% dry (and usually 2 days after that to really make sure) she did have a pretty major environment change being outside after being spray bottled for mites.

i was also quarentining my pothos and had it outside. some of the leaves were touching the table, the table got very hot and burnt the leaves, this is what my leaves looked like after. i cut them off and the rest of the pothos was fine when i took it back inside

Thank you! She’s one of my faves so I wanna make sure she’s happy and healthy. I’m super bummed about all this. Freaking chives!!!! They were supposed to prevent mites but they just caused them on 2 of my plants!!!

aww that suckss. my pothos was huge and had a vine taller than me but she got infested with mealy bugs and the only way i could fix it was by cutting her all up and propagating all the peices. she also spread them to a bunch of my other plants. it was a mess!

Oh no!!!! Sorry yours got mealy bugs! That’s the woooooorst! I just lost a sessile joyweed (herb like greens plant for Indian food that my hubs asked me to grow) to them. Sprayed the heck outta the rest of my plants up in his office (thankfully they’re fassssrvseay from my non edible house plants!)

I burnt might as well by accidentally leaving them out way too long. They looked exactly like the one show above. :( It’s is possible.

Ok thank you. I cut some of the worst ones off, and 1-2 fell off by themselves. Got a bunch of new leaves opening up so I know she’s still happy at least. I feel bad for her still tho.
