My neon pathos has had a STEEP decline in growth and I'm becoming worried. The root system was HUGE, over double the length of the plant, so I repotted and cut a propagation. That was over a month ago, two weeks ago I planted the propagation. It had decent roots and two leaves, the larger leaf died in less than a week. I'm not sure what's gone wrong. It seemed so happy, it's not really complaining right now but it's not growing either. The nub on the main plant hasn't grown a centimeter in about a month.

The pictures are confusing me. I’m assuming the first picture is the main plant. It would help showing the entire pot and plant in a photo. Is the second picture the cutting in its own pot? A full view photo would help. I’m assuming the last photo is the main plant. Generic comments: Slow growth can come from insufficient fertilizer, colder temperatures, too low lighting, watering issues and pests/rot, to name a few. It doesn’t look like rot or pests based on the leaves shown.

They both look fine. I don’t see spots, yellowing or drying that could indicate a watering issue. I recommend fertilizing with a 50% diluted liquid fertilizer at least once a month in colder months. Ensure the temperature is warm around it stimulate leaf growth. Colder weather can slow growth. It could be spending time growing roots. You can help the process so it can put energy into leaf growth by adding rooting hormone powder to the soil. You can also add SuperThrive plant vitamins, as well. Both work well on my cuttings. You can add a grow light with a foot or closer to the plant if that’s a north facing window. You can add a small seedling heating pad under it to encourage growth. 🍀🪴
