Does anyone know why my golden pothos isn’t starting to vine? She is growing like crazy, super healthy, has huge, beautiful leaves. But I don’t see any signs of any of starting to vine. It’s just kind of spreading out in the pot. I also haven’t noticed any nodes yet. I got her in January or Feb, so she is young. Just wondering if this is normal? Thanks in advance!! 🌱🍃 I guess I thought they would all be like my baby Brazilian in the pictures below. It started vining immediately.
it looks healthy to me! how deep is the pot? it looks like a fine size for the plant, but i think i read that pothos prioritize root growth over leaf production, so maybe just some more time in the pot ☺️

Each stem is a vine, a slow growing vine on your plant. There are nodes where each leaf emerges. The leaf nodes of your golden pothos are close together compared to the Brasil pothos. That’s a good thing. It means the plant is young, happy and not desperately trying to grow fast to find light/water.

1 Like Haha, I’m glad she is filling out but would love it to vine, which I think it’s starting to. All I do is wait till it’s just about dry and then water with distilled water but I put fertilizer at 1/4 strength with every watering. I use this fertilizer. Literally the next day after I used it for the first time all my leaves were greener, shinier, and then the leaves starting growing huge! Seems like every new leaf is bigger than the last. The newest one is now 7 inches llong!! It’s pretty crazy. Here is a pic of when I got it in January of this year.
And this is the fertilizer I use. It’s less than $20 on Amazon. It’s recommended by a ton of expert gardeners. For houseplants and outside.

1 LikeUse google, How to activate new growth on pothos! You need to clip your plant to activate new growth and also use fertilizer high in Nitrogen. Hope this gets your Pothos trellis nice and full.
1 Like She is growing like a weed. Just seems to be getting fuller. But two of the bigger leaves are starting to vine now. I just got it in Jan, so I didn’t know it took actual baby plants and not cuttings to take awhile to branch out.
