Hi! so I’m new to plants and I have just recently bought a Neon Pothos and the leaves on the top are darker than the ones on the bottom, and as you can see the leaf is turning brown.. And I just don’t know what to do, cause I just the watering schedule on Planta to know when to water it… I need some advice about Pothos cause I also have a Golden Pothos😭

I ended up buying a soil moisture meter. I’ve noticed that I’ve had to skip some watering days because the soil was still “moist” and chose to mist the leaves instead. I’m still new to this too. 😅

I don’t find the Planta app watering schedule to be completely accurate. I just stick my finger in the soil and if it’s wet/moist I won’t water and I’ll push the snooze til next time button. If it’s SUPER dry, I’ll do a bottom water. Pothos are pretty resilient. So I think if you fix the water situation, you’ll see positive results.

Be cautious about misting. Depending on your light, this could burn the leaves.

Oh thank you so much😭 Cause I do mist the leaves with water, but nothing else… and I will!!

To add to this, if you mist the Pothos and put it in the sun while the leaves are moist, it can get sunburnt :) I personally like to mist after the sun has hit my plants for the day or after the sun has gone down

I only water mine when it’s fully dry which is typically 2 days after planta has told me to water. BUT I always check first. If you don’t have a moisture metre, another user @PlantyAnne suggests using a bamboo skewer or chopstick to check the moisture level. If you search for chopstick in this forum I’m sure you’ll find her detailed instructions on how to

This is the way!👆😁 It’s more accurate than a water meter that measures conductivity. I’ve thrown out two water meters.
