Got this pothos from a plant store and decided to repot it because the soil was hydrophobic and the plant was losing leaves or turning yellow. after removing the plant from the soil i noticed that some of the clippings have yellow ends. Why are the ends yellow and is this okay to repot?

No way am I an expert just have a lot of pothos, so you may want to wait for others to respond too. But I repot mine when sometimes they turn yellow, often after growing roots in water. Sometimes I cut it off.. never had problems planting a yellow stem, i just don’t plant if it’s mushy. I notice the yellow never travels past the node in my experience.

i agree, if they aren’t mushy (which mean rot), then you shouldn’t have any issues repotting. as for why they’re yellow i don’t know, but it could mean too much sun or overwatering?
