I bought these three *luscious* pothos 👁️👄👁️ from a store going out of business… only to find out they are covered in mealy bugs! I treated the soil with systemic granules and gave the leaves a good washing and sprayed them down with a soap, neem, water mixture. Any suggestions if this doesn’t help? I haven’t brought them inside my house yet but I’m dying to move them in ASAP.
I’m sure others will have some more ideas, but I’ve also had success taking them completely out of the soil and giving them a “bath” in the sink. Replacing the soil entirely and making sure all leaves/stems get a good (safe) scrub. Good luck!

좋아요 1개Lady bugs are a good option too! 😆They actually eat mealy bugs, thrips, spider mites, and you can find them at some nurseries/landscaping companies or online for pretty cheap. 🐞

Neem isn't super effective on adult mealy. So keep up with the systemic. And maybe try a pesticide better suited to killing them. Ladybugs will eat juries, but since you already treated with pesticides i would not use them

I have found a mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water (1:1) sprayed every few days works well. Test an area first to confirm it doesn’t impact the leaves.

I've also had success with alcohol. I finally was able to successfully remove some mealybugs from a plant this week with alcohol. Keeping them quarantined to ensure I defeated the infestation!
