Helppppp. My Pothos hasn’t grown an inch since I got her in August/September. I’ve been checking the soil and watering accordingly, have periodically fertilized her (less now that it’s winter), and have a humidifier going. What’s going on? Any tips for how to revive her or help her grow?

Unless it’s a south facing window, it might not be enough light. To be certain, you could use a light meter app on your phone to see how much light the plant is getting in foot candles (FC). 100 foot candles is the bare minimum it would need (that’s considered low light), ideally it should probably get 400-500, especially with it being a variegated plant. Grow lights will help if you don’t have a natural space with enough light. It’s also worth noting that this is the dormancy season for most plants so it’s normal to not see as much growth unless you’re supplementing with grow lights.

Variegated pothos seem to need more light than their non-variegated cousins. The leaves of yours appear to be reaching for light as well, which could indicate that it just wants to be closer to the window. I have a manjula pothos in a southeast window that gets morning sun and indirect afternoon light so I promise I'm not telling you to fry your plant! Maybe just a foot closer to the window to start? Or do you have another window that gets a little morning sun but no strong midday/afternoon sun?

Honestly I have yet to fry a pothos. The variegated ones especially love their light! I would put it all the way in the window and if that doesn’t help grow light. I leave my satins under the grow light for about 10 hours and I have yet to crisp them, so don’t be afraid to give them more light!
