Hello! New plant mom here 🥹. I got a pothos from my mom as a house warming gift but she gave it to me in water. It’s just one long stem with leaves but I want it to be bushy like everyone else’s ! 😩 I also want to repot it and put it in soil. Help me make it pretty !
It will definitely get there ! If it already has roots go ahead and pot it up ! If no roots wait for them to be about 2 inches long before putting in soil, don’t use a pot too big and make sure it has drainage ! Pothos are easier ones to take care of for sure so they’re pretty forgiving 😅

If you chop it up and put them in water, you have a better chance of getting a fuller plant faster. -Make a cut between each node, leaving about an inch or two of stem on each side. -Lay them out to allow the cuttings (wounds) to callous over. A couple of hours should do the trick. -After place them in water and place in a bright spot that gets indirect sunlight or place under a grow light. -Change the water every 2-3 days. -Once roots are producing secondary roots, you’ll be good to pot it up. -Keep the soil moist until plant is established (signs of new growth). Pothos are notoriously known to be hard to kill so this should help start you off right. Hope this helps!
