New to this also. When is a good time to prune my pothos back and make the main plant fuller. And how would I go about pruning anyways and do you cut at an angle and where would I cut and is it a good idea to prune it way back and how do you know its mature too.
Hopefully this helps. You want to cut right under the nodes. I usually start from the bottom of a vine and count every 2-3 nodes and cut there . I usually propagate my cuttings and when the roots grow long enough I place them back into the same pot so make a fuller potho plant .
Also now would be a great time to chop her , tis their growing season :)

I cut about 1/2 inch to an inch away from a node. I typically leave two nodes for a pothos putting one out of the water. Pothos can put out new leaf buds while rooting. I will use one node per cutting, leaving room around the node, if the aerial roots are out like in the photos of my Philodendron Rio cuttings. I don’t cut too close to the node because the cut ends die off sometimes, dry out in soil or rot in water. I don’t want it dying off right at the node.
