HELP ME!!! My mom sucks at caring for me and I'm close to dying. I received this plant as a gift when my son was born. It was just a clipping. I CANNOT get it to perk up. I've moved it to more sun (exact window/spot my previous pot was in) put it in a new pot woth different soil and peat moss mixed in it. The pot is a well drained pot. I don't know what else to do.

The pot looks much to big. I would plant it in a much smaller pot.

The pot should be just big enough to hold the roots with a bit of room to grow. That’s why starter pots are so small. The roots have to be able to use up all the water in the soil. Excessive amounts of wet soil suffocates the roots causing root rot. I agree with everyone to check for root rot and cut it off. Rinse off all soil to prevent bacterial transfer, if there is rot. Rinse hands/tools/roots with hydrogen peroxide to disinfect before placing the cutting in clean water out of the intense sunlight. Fertilize if you already have roots or when the first roots appear. Let it grow out secondary roots and start to look healthier before planting in a small 4” pot of soil with lots of perlite for drainage. Remove it from direct sunlight to avoid scorching (yellow, drying, limp). Pothos can’t take intense direct sunlight. Use a sheer curtain to filter or move it back from the window. Grow lights on for 12 hours is an alternative. 🪴🍀

looks to me like there’s probably not much root growth so it can’t take up much water. i’d recommend either pulling it up, rinsing roots and getting it rooting in water so you can track progress, or clip just above the soil and start rooting from scratch with a new node. each little “bump” along the stem could produce new growth so you have a good chance of getting new growth. I would also move the pot from the direct sun, in my experience they prefer dappled light. good luck!!
