this white fuzz is growing on top of my golden pothos’ soil, can anyone tell me what it is? is it mold? how do i get rid of it?

    Yes its mold. Cause by lack of air flow and the soil not drying out. Its not harmful. But if you want to get rid of it you can do a few different things: 1. Change soil completely - this is pretty drastic choice 2. Scrape off mold, top with fresh soil, bottom water only ensuring the top 1” stays dry - I haven’t had great success with this method 3. Sprinkle cinnamon on the top and mix in slightly, bottom water to ensure the top stays dry. I usually choose the cinnamon route as its easy and I’ve found it works well. I also only bottom water all my plants in the cold months to avoid mold. I’ll switch back once it warms up and my air flow improves in my home.
