Is it normal for a golden pothos to lose its bottom leaves? They turn yellow and fall off.

    i had the same issue with one of my golden pothos, i’m worried it’s happening to my monstera thai constellation. the stem on my pothos turned black/brown but still hard. sorry i can’t help, but at least you’re not alone!

    Yours may need more light. Pothos can live in low light. But, they thrive in bright indirect light. Overwatering can cause yellowing and dropped leaves too.

    I had the same problem! I’ve been watering less but more thoroughly. I put it in more direct light (I had it in indirect light but it didn’t seem happy) I picked off the leaves that looked rough and now she’s thriving.

    I think over watering was the cause of my recent yellowing. My Pothos usually does this dramatic fall when it needs watering and I watered it before the theatrics and a few days later I had two yellow leaves.
