Please help! Iā€™m a new plant mom and Iā€™m not sure if this is how the plant is supposed to look. It looks like the new forming leaves have stopped growing. The corners of most of the leaves look brown and crispy, but the leaves feel healthy to the touch. I repotted her last week into this clear nursery pot so that way I can monitor the roots and moisture in the soil and I bottom watered using distilled water with a couple drops of fertilizer. She gets bright indirect sun for about 12 hours a day, and I have a humidifier running constantly due to my allergies. What can I do to encourage new growth and treat the brown crispy edges?

    Leaves curling on satins typically means the potting medium is too heavy or it has root rot.

      When I repotted there were A LOT of roots but they all looked pretty healthy to me (no odor, browning, or mush). I can add more aeration. What else should I do?

      Aeration is a good place to start and it will give you a chance to inspect the roots again. Plantaā€™s care schedule hasnā€™t let me down, Iā€™m either watering OR fertilizing once every 8 days. mine sits about 6 ft from a well lit window filtered by several other plants.

    Scindapus pictus exotica like to do that sometimes. Did you just repot it? Bcz if so that's why. Also does it need water? They curl when they need water. How long has it been curled?

      Yes I just repotted a week ago. There were so many roots! They all looked like they were in good shape though

    They are also kind of slow growers,in my experience. Just fertilize and water when needed and wait..

    You don't need to worry. Even if you loose that curly leaf it will grow new ones. They are drama queens a little bit. It looks healthy and soil looks good. Just remember not to over water it.
