What do you all do when leaves keep falling off Pothos vines? A couple of mine have gotten pretty vine-y without any leaves, which I think looks less fun than the super full vines I’ve seen others have. There are new leaves growing so it’s not sick, but leaves keep turning yellow and falling off further down the vine. Any advice is appreciated!

It may need more light. Often they get leggy from lack of light. I would chop and prop the leggy parts and start over.

I agree with Samantha. The vines on mine that don’t get as much light (they’re usually hiding under other vines) get leggy like this. You can trim and prop them. Also try to rotate the plant every once in a while so all sides get light.

They can drop leaves from several reasons including low light, watering issues, pest and disease/fungus. I recommend checking for pests and treat if any. Check the root system. The root system can show if it needs repotting from being root bound. Overgrown roots can also slow drainage which can lead to yellowing, dropped leaves and root rot. Check the soul is drying out before watering again. Continuously wet soil can cause leaf drop. Lighting could be an issue. But, it’s close to a window already. It’s possible, but, less likely. Pothos can still grow well in that location with so much indirect light. Also, I typically don’t put a pothos in direct sunlight. But, your window has a bug screen that reduces the intensity of the sunlight along with the glass panes. Check the fertilizer schedule. It looks a little pale. It could just be the photo. I fertilize my pothos plants twice a month with 50% diluted all purpose Miracle Gro and SuperThrive plant vitamins. 🪴🍀
