Anyone have tips for propping a cebu pothos? I don’t want to kill it, but I want a fuller plant. I love my baby and want her to look lush and beautiful. I currently have my golden in a water prop post root rot that developed over winter, but I am trying to get fuller plants. I’ve propped my golden before so I’m wondering if it’ll be the same with this one. I don’t want to kill it.
They prop easily in water. Nothing special to do. But in the beginning I would bring trailing stems into the planter and anchor them down. They grew roots from the nodes on the stem. Eventually became too big and I gave it a massive trim. Gave many cuttings away to the neighbors. Pics are about a year ago and then last month, about.
I should just be an able to trim it down and replant the cuttings in the same pot I assume. It’s looking sparse.
0개 좋아요 I would loop the stem back into the pot and anchor it. If you can bend the stem. You don’t need to cut.

cebu blue do great in water, just like golden ! if you're looking to put it right back in the soil, make sure you've watered first. if the soil is dry they have a hard time taking

I had mine in a hanging basket until it was big enough to start training up a pole but what I did to keep it fuller was sit vines with aerial roots on top of the soil without cutting them and eventually I knew they had rooted because you feel resistance when tugging on them and eventually I would cut them so there would be more new shoots.
I now have mine on a pole which I recommend if you want nice big leaves, but I train the vines up and then back down the pole and once they are hanging over the pot I sit them in the soil for them to root and then train them back up the pole again as they grow more and so on lol. I barely need to use clips as the roots cling to the pole mostly on their own now, and randomly along the vines a new growth point will activate so it’s nice and full with no cutting required
Mine was trailing a lot so I just chopped some and stuck it back in the soil. It must’ve worked because., her head is full!!
