Hi everyone! My pothos has new growth but it’s coming out with spots. I figured the issue is under-watering but i’m looking for confirmation! Thanks! @sustain_planetearth on ig if you want to follow!

    This is sometimes caused by low humidity which causes the leaf to damage while unfurling or simply the unfurled leaf getting banged up before it’s opened. I used to have mine hanging and I would take it down to water and it constantly snagged on the ropes and such so many leaves took on this shape. A tiny abrasion on a small undeveloped leaf will grow in size as the leaf grows.

      Wow, so do you think I should have a pebble tray for this plant?

      Pebble trays and misting don’t really do anything, I’d say humidifier if it’s in a small enough room but if it’s a large living room or something it doesn’t usually get the job done either. Most plants will adapt if you give them time. Plus it’s winter where if the heat is on it will be drier air. I’d just prune it back and let the plant try again! I have multiple alocasia doing just fine in my 30% humidity desert home but it’s been over a year. Plants are good at finding a way to make things work.
