Hi all! I just repotted this pothos and I’m a new plant mama, so I was just wondering if I should be concerned about the one leaf with some damage with the yellow around it? All the rest of the leaves look perfectly fine and healthy, but this leaf has gotten more yellow in the last day or so. Should I just keep an eye on it or cut this leaf off or what?? Thank you!!

Yeah keep an eye on it, if it dies completely just prune it off. If it does heal itself, it will just have the horozontal scar permanently. Pothos are resilient and it shouldn’t affect the main plant at all as long as it not a fungus or pest problem. (I doubt it since the plant looks very healthy!)

Looks like a nasty bruise, perhaps it got trapped somehow during transit. It’ll do no harm to chop the leaf off at a low point on the stem xx

When it comes to these you’ll discover a motley leaf is a dime a dozen. If it’s not uncomfortable for you to look at then leave it. If a motley leaf looks like an embarrassment, like an over grown toe nail or kids going to school and their hair is not combed, then groom it off.

Damaged leaves like this just happen with pothos 🤷🏼‍♀️ best practice is to just let the leaf do its thing and let it fall of on its own - the rest of the plant will take any energy the damaged leaf has to use for new growth
