Yoooo why is the side of my red clay pot growing mold? It’s weird and creeping me out.

    It's most likely just an accumulation of mineral and salt deposits. It won't harm your plants. If you chose you can clean them up with water & some dish soap. 😊

    Clay pots can grow mold fungus because the pot holds water. The moist surface is ideal for the spores to grow on. It’s not harmful. No action needed. You can spray a fungicide that stops the growth.

    If it looks like this then it's not mold, it's mineral buildup :) I like the way it looks on this pot so I haven't done anything with it (It has a light powder feeling to it)
