Question: is it common for pothos to have brown spots on the root ? I can take a picture later for clarity lol I noticed one root tip was dark color same for another root but at the base. Is it curable? It’s also been growing/living in water

As long as its not mushy, its totally normal for water :)

Am I able to wipe off the roots without harming it? When I look closely I can see some “fuzzy” stuff on it

The best part about plants is experimenting! Learning new techniques is all apart of it. Don’t be discouraged if you lose a few on the journey, its all a constant learning process :) Water roots will look fuzzy, also totally normal. You probably won’t be able to “wipe it off” as its the root itself that is that color. When you change your water you can rinse the roots under warm water to get off any algae/scum that might be forming. Just gently massage them, don’t try too hard to “scrub” anything off. You can also trim away any parts that might be rotting at this time.
