hey friends! i got a pothos about a month ago and she has been growing like crazy which i’m so happy about :) since i’d like to do a little more with her, im wondering at what point/age i can start: -cutting some stems to propagate -adding a trellis for her to climb -expecting her to variegate more i’ve attached photos. any advice is appreciated. TIA 💚🪴

I like mine more bushy then vine-y, so I’m not sure about the trellis! To cut and propagate, i’ll usually wait till there’s like 4-5 nodes, so that I can leave some on the original stem. For them to variegate, i’ve noticed more sunlight does the trick! This is what’s worked the best for me (I also talk to my plants telling them they look beautiful and filling them in on my plans hahah)

Lovely golden pothos 😊 there isn’t any specific age or point really. You can add a trellis/moss pole now but it could have had one from the start if you wanted to train it early. Similarly with chop and prop you just do it whenever you feel comfortable with how the plant will look after the chop, you have one or two longer vines now that you could chop under a node and not really effect the plants overall look. In terms of variegation, this also isn’t age related rather light source and genes, so you can put her in brighter light to try and encourage more variegation but just bear in mind that it doesn’t guarantee it as she just may have low variegation in her genes

good to know! i’ll think ill start her with a trellis soon. i can also definitely shift her so she’s getting more light and we’ll see what that does. but even if she doesn’t, i still love her :)
