I bought my Pearl and jade Pothos (I think that’s right) because of the pretty green and crisp white pattern and of its leaves, but have noticed I’m getting a lot more yellow and green leaves instead ever since I got her. I am also watering her every two days but am getting leaves going brown every few days. Any ideas as to why the color shift and why the browning? Thanks in advanced yall! ✌🏼

does the soil get dry between watering? every two days sounds very frequent. could be over watering or if it’s truly drying out in two days then it might need a repot

That looks like it could be a N’Joy. N’joys are green and white only, but pearls and jade have noticeable flecks of green in the white parts

Hmmm 🤔 this is tricky cause I’m not there in person but have you ever repotted it and seen the condition of the roots? I personally had an issue when I first got pothos where I put my pothos too close to a fan and my room was drying out my soil before my plant could absorb it all. The color of the leaves could be a sign of stress oooor also with house plants could be a many different things.

This is a pearl I propagated about 5 months ago. I did run into a problem of her soil not getting too wet but felt dry at the top. I put her in an environment with good air circulation light and moisture and she has been thriving ever since! I hope this helps you out! If you ever get the chance to look at the roots I would and kinda do a full reset to see if you can help her calm down💚

Thanks so much! I think I may repot her and set her in a place with better circulation she doesn’t get all that much where she is!

I faced exactly the same issue with my variegated pothos (same variety). It was so lush green and bushy when I bought. Soon most of the leaves started to fall off. I tried to change the water schedule to see if it helped but in vain. I noticed the leaves near the soil started drying/yellowing first and eventually the plant started losing most of the leaves. I didn’t want to lose the plant, so I pruned all the good leaves and put them in water for propagation. Now I have 15-20 small cuttings which are thriving in water as of now. I will replace the soil in the pot (which I suspect might have been the issue) with fresh one and replant the cuttings once they are mature enough.
