Frantic plant mom.,.. Plant help… I bought a pothos a couple months ago and it was doing phenomenal until last week. She started getting really droopy and dropping leaves and I watered her and checked everything and even repotted her. Now her leaves are turning yellow and I don’t know what to do!

When you see your pothos might die best action will be to cut and propagate. Start over 🤗 it’s very easy to propagate pothos.

    Did you check the roots?

Yes the roots were rotted so I cut them and got rid of the rot and repotted the good stems

Did the “Good stems “ have healthy roots when you repotted? It’s a Pothos and they are very resilient so don’t panic. While you can definitely reroot in soil, in my experience it is easier to reroot them in water. It will keep them hydrated while the roots grow. Once the roots have regrown 2-4 inches then you can transition them back into soil. At that point you would keep the soil moist for a couple of weeks as the roots acclimate the to soil. Then taper off. But don’t worry. With Pothos you could literally bury the parts of the stem (where the leaves dropped) and it will regrow. As long as you’ve cut off all the rot and you have at least one good node your in business. They are easy, fast growers that don’t require a lot of fuss. Let me know if you have any specific questions or concerns.

I actually tried to put them in water to regrow them but the stems turned mushy! What should I do?

Probably didn’t cut off all of the rot. I’d you leave any toy it will spread every time you water. I would doubt check. It would be easier to assess if you post a picture

Drooping I would assume it needed a good deep water but that should have perked her up in a day or two. Were the roots all healthy? Maybe it’s for a bit of shock after repotting?

Just read your other comments! Root rot was likely the answer then! Happened to my golden pothos recently. After removing all the rotting plant and putting it in fresh soil it’s doing great with letting it dry out
