Unless you completely get rid and of soil and make it a hyrdrophonic plant then you should repot it. Pothos do well with potting soil with a 1/3 if perilite added and a little sand for graininess which will aid in drainage. They like to dry out between watering. Terra cotta always works best, but with the right soil and drainage other pots will work too. But drainage is a must.

What kind of Pothos do you have? I’m curious, because my marble queen and N’Joy drop leaves every time I let them dry out between waterings 🤔🥺

It’s actually incredibly hard for water to transfer from soil to something so much more coarse and less absorbent like rocks. It’s basically creating even less space for the water to go. Repot

I have a golden pothos and a jade pothos and they are both in pots without drainage holes. They are growing like crazy and def thriving 🫶🏾 i just make sure not to overwater them. lol I know technically you are supposed to have drainage holes… but my pothos came in such adorable pots that I didn’t want to change them 🤭 So good luck w ur pothos 🤞🏾🪴
