Hi! I wanted to know what i could be doing best for my plant! i’m super new to this and i was gifted the plant so any advice would help. I’ve noticed the roots are growing through the bottom of the pot and it’s never been repotted. Any advice would be awesome!!

They don’t mind being root bound, I wouldn’t repot right away unless drainage really becomes an issue. You could probably pome some extra holes in the bottom of that. I had my first pothos in the same small pot it came in for 3-4 years and it grew like mad. I only just repotted it 6 months ago. Definitely cut back on watering, they like to dry out in between drinks. Indirect bright light is best, like near an east facing window or 5+ feet from a south facing window. They’re resilient; you got this!

I have the same pot for my Pothos and water sits in the outside ring of my pot I pulled her out of the pot and the only place where her roots were were at the bottom they love being root bound but with the type of pot we have we need to add draining holes in that ring so the roots won’t be sitting in water anymore

I’d suggest getting a moisture meter. You can pick one up on Amazon or your big box store.

Also, I’d suggest watching pothos plant care videos on YouTube. Planterina had great content for beginners. Wild Fern is my favorite, I learned so much from her.
