Please help! I had this pothos in a dark space, and it was doing great. Been moving plants around, and moved this guy to a bathroom, with brighter light, but far away from the window. It’s been droopy, and losing leaves. Should I move it back?

I have watered it more frequently than the app says, and I’m misting every day. Was repotted about 6 months ago, but has been in this or similar pot for a year or so.

I think you might have moved this pothos to a new location too fast. If the light and humidity between the two locations is too different, your plant might just be having a hard time adjusting and is stressed. I’ve seen this happen with moving plants between different light conditions, but your pothos might also be struggling with the increase in humidity on top of that. If you want to keep your pothos in the bathroom, I would let it get completely adjusted to the new light levels first before introducing it to higher humidity. Try finding a place that has similar humidity to its original location, but with slightly higher light levels. Leave the plant alone for at least 2 weeks before even looking at it again. If it’s still struggling, leave it adjust for longer, but if it’s fine, you can start slowly moving it to higher light OR higher humidity locations. Just make sure to give it 2 weeks or so to adjust in between moving it. Remember, plants in nature almost never move locations, so drastic changes in its environment can stress it out, even if its new conditions are technically healthier for it. My mom keeps her 3 pothos in the basement with very little light. I’m sure they’d throw an epic tantrum if I put them by an upstairs window with no prep work.

I moved it back to the darker location and gave it some water (ahead of schedule). Leaves are yellowing, losing one each day. Should I just take a few clippings of the few leaves that are still green, and try rooting in water?

You can restart the plant in water. I’d remove it from the pot and check the roots. Cut off any brown mushy roots, then put it I. Water. Once you see some nee healthy roots repot it. I’d put it in a 4 inch plastic nursery pot. I use Molly’s potting mix for all my Pothos. Good luck!
