Hi everyone. I’m new to plants just brought two today. Any tips and suggestions on how to keep them from dying. I have killed every plant in the past. I have been reading and educating myself but any tips you have learned might be beyond helpful.

Don’t overwater them.

Came here to say it’s MUCH easier to bring back an underwatered plant than an overwatered plant!

Best advice I’ve EVER gotten!
1 likeI’m assuming this is a philodendron brasil and a jade pothos. They have pretty simple care. They can take a wide range of light. In brighter light, you’ll get bigger (or similarly sized) leaves and steady growth. In lower light, leaves get smaller and the brasil may lose a significant amount of its light green color. These plants are both full on top and need to receive light on top or they will start to bald. As for watering, you can water when the plants are mostly dry. Take a toothpick or wood skewer and stick it in the soil. If it comes out mostly dry, you can water. These plants should be fine with tap water (just make sure it’s room temp). Remove the plants from their cover pots and water thoroughly until water drips from the drainage holes in the pot. After the water has drained, place plants back in the cover pots. Fin.
