My 2 year old neon pothos just sitting here existing. She does not grow but remains alive. She did just get 2 new leaves in the past few weeks but after 2 years tho?😂

It’s very unusual for a pothos to not put out leaves for 2 years. I would change out the soil and repot, add rooting hormone to produce more roots and add timed release fertilizer granules. Neon pothos puts out very vibrant leaves when they are thriving.

I have not repotted it. Was scared of it going into shock. Also, I just discovered foliar feeding so I am experimenting with that. I think she wasn’t getting enough light but since I moved her closer to the window, she pushed out 2 new ones. Thank you for advice

They are tenacious at living even if they only have 2 leaves left on a 6 feet vine! 😁 Feed fertilizer directly to the roots with liquid fertilizer or granules to see faster growth. Feeding only the leaves may not get enough nutrients to the plant. Good luck🍀🪴

Sunny is right repot it. the girl needs some room just don’t go to big something the size of the pot you have the nursery pot in would probably be perfect and make sure there is drainage holes I have made the mistake of not doing that 😅 And a small sidenote, don’t always upgrade to a bigger pot, I think this case maybe but they actually do like to be a little bit root bound or at least mine do 🤷🏻♀️

Ok so your side note is basically saying repot in the same pot? If so, I’ve done that before with some fresh soil. That makes since. Thank you for the advice ☺️

Light is probably your main issue here. Moving closer to a window or adding some grow lights will help with triggering new growth. Have you checked the roots at all? What kind of potting soil do you have it in? If it’s been in the same soil for two years, it’s way due for a fresh batch 😆. I recommend a chunky, porous soil to give the roots plenty of air flow; roots need to breathe too. 1:1 potting soil and perlite works great. This is my 2 month old jade pothos I started from a couple cuttings. It gets 12-14 hours of grow light near a NE facing window.

i noticed my neon is taking slower to grow then my other pothos. good to know i’m not the only one. i purchased a satin at the same time and the satin is growing like a weed while the neon has pushed out maybe two leaves. mines gets lots of indirect sun (i live in the desert) i water only when it needs it and in a clear pot so not root bound. i’m hoping its just a slow grower.
