based on the photo i want to believe the inner pot has drainage holes? If not then it would be a good decision to switch to one that has some, aswell as a better draining soil, if you find the soil to be pretty wet for sometime after watering. If it does have drainage holes, do not water it while it’s in the decorative pot. Water will stand in the bottom and the soil with never really dry out. When watering i usually allow the top 50% to completely dry out. If you haven’t yet, i’d recommend taking the whole plant out of the pot and inspecting the roots (just to see if there’s any rot) These plants are quite resilient and quick growers when handled correctly. In my experience, my golden pothos despised direct sun. But thrived like crazy in some bright in direct light. Biggest things are, Watering the plant in a well draining pot ‘outside’ the decorative pot, lots of bright indirect light, only water when the soil partly dries out and use a well suited foliage fertilizer I can’t necessarily give a direct answer for the loss of leaves and lack of growth. Although this can be a byproduct of underwatering, overwatering, pests and a possible nutrient deficiency if you don’t fertilize regularly Hopefully i’ve helped in some way. i wish you luck! :)

Great advice. I have several pothos in bright indirect light on a covered patio. They hate direct sunlight. Their soil is well draining. I remove them from decorative pots without holes to water so I can see water flow out the bottom. I use very few pots without holes because it’s a pain

I’m not sure if this would be beneficial, but I have a golden pothos in water that I change once a week and she grows pretty fast! I also fertilize it, which makes me think maybe your plant needs food? When mine didn’t have enough nutrients it stopped growing and a leaf had to get cut.
