Does my Cebu blue need more light? I just noticed it looks leggy when I added the trellis.

It’s thinned out and very leggy. The plant is looking for bright light. It thrives on high humidity, regular fertilization plus regular watering and warmer temperatures, besides the light requirement. I recommend you remove the trellis and spiral both vines on top of the soil to build up roots. Pin down the vines so the aerial roots can grow into the soil. Sprinkle a tiny bit of rooting hormone near the roots. Water per schedule. Mist the vine to get the roots to dig in. Move the plant to a better light source or add a grow light. Increase humidity around the pot using a humidifier or pebble tray of water under the pot. Don’t let the pot sit on water. My Baltic Blue in 6 inch pot with several months of growth. I use a fast draining soil and time released fertilizer (Osmocote). Gets very bright indirect light, high humidity (Zone 9) on my patio. I water daily with a hose.
5 LikesThank you so so much, this is really helpful! I will definitely remove the trellis as you suggest. I’m also in zone 9 so mine is getting lots of humidity, and I thought it was getting a lot of light! I’ll have to find a new spot for it. :)
