Does anyone know why Planta is telling me to water my Cebu blues every two days? The info I’ve found online says to let the top two inches of soil dry out before watering, but they’ll need a week or so for that. Any insights are much appreciated! 🙏🏼

It’s probably because it’s getting full sun. There’s an option to snooze the tasks, I would go ahead and snooze for two days if the soil is still wet and then check it again. They are a part sun to shade plant so it might get mad about the light. I have mine hanging right in the window with my blinds filtering the light so they get filtered light all day, and they seem pretty happy!

Thanks so much! I’ve been drawing the blinds lately because the sun is so bright, so maybe I need to adjust the light settings for that location. 🙏🏼

Not sure what the temp is where you are at, but its like 90 degrees here in LA for next 2 weeks straight and 100 or more inland areas. When its that hot the algorithm adjusts and changes to reflect temp and where you plant is placed (full sun etc). Then it will change again when temps go back down to normal or change seasons. You can always customize your watering if its wrong.

Yes, it’s definitely hot here, but the humidity is generally over 80% during the summer months. I’m going to use a moisture meter and see when they need more water, and then adjust the schedule accordingly. Thanks so much! 🙏🏼

I’ve come to view it as a “check your plants to see if they need water” instead of a “must water.” I also got a moisture meter and that’s helped a lot.

Yes, I think that’s the best way to approach it with new plants. Thanks for your input! 🙏
