I have a problem with fungus gnats so I put sand and rock on top of my soil. It has worked great so far but I’ve heard you shouldn’t do that, but my plant seems fine, but like it’s not gonna kill it in the future, right?

    depends on the plant. my snake plant has rocks on top and it’s fine because it doesn’t need that much water/moisture in the soil. on a plant like this one, it might make it harder to water. I’d over-water just a smidge to make sure it’s getting enough

    Use Cinnamon!! A decent layer of cinnamon on top of the soil to kill and deter fungus gnats. Works like a charm every time for me
