Golden Pothos isn’t trailing? So I’ve had a golden pothos for a couple of years now and it’s really full and healthy looking and continually spouts new leaves. However, it’s not vining or trailing. It kinda just grows in a clump. Again looks really healthy and I don’t mind if it doesn’t trail but is there a reason why it isn’t? Thanks.

Very odd, are you 100% sure it’s a pothos? Sometimes they’ll grow upwards if it’s a new node offshoot, but that would be really unlike a pothos to not grow long and crazy. Unless you have something to attach it to, it won’t climb upwards on its own, and will just grow long tendrils downwards.

Looks like you’ve got a vine starting in that first picture. Might just need more time before it starts to hang over the pot and get long. I had to do a bit of detangling for my pothos to encourage the vines to grow outwards instead of swirling round the pot, but mine was very young when I got it.

It is starting to here. Just needs more time. You also could stick a moss pole in it whenever you repot and attach it to the pole and make sure the nodes are touching moss. ❤️

I’ve had the same problem with my jade pothos. Just takes awhile. They fill out the pot first and then they will start to vine. As you can see in the picture here, you can see one starting to vine! Hope this helps!

It’s actually good it filled out first, otherwise you would have a pot with just a few vines growing out of it. Now you have a full pot of leaves that will now start to vine! Looks nice and healthy! And it’s not starting to vine, and it will happen pretty fast, congrats! I literally just a few days ago asked this same exact question, and at first I thought this was my post I posted, lol, here is mine
