It’s difficult to tell the issue from these set of leaves. Yellow and brown spots can occur from water, light, pests, fertilizer and temperature issues. It could be fungus, as Plantyann stated. But, fungus usually starts from the soil. Cutting leaves won’t stop fungus. You can assume it’s fungus and treat it. You may have to adjust other parameters if fungus treatment doesn’t work. Also, I recommend not taking action to cut as the first reaction before identifying the cause. There is no picture of the remaining plant. So, I don’t know how many leaves are left. But, these leaves could be used to provide photosynthesis. Cutting too many leaves could add stress to the plant.
