Hi plant friends! This pothos seems to be doing well, but the roots seem to be REALLY small. If there is a yellow leaf to remove, an entire chunk of the plant will come out with almost no resistance and tiny roots. Is this a watering problem?

    Pot too big. Holding on to water for too long and probably causing root rot

    I agree that the pot it too big. Repot it smaller and check for root rot. If you don’t see any then it’s probably nothing to worry about. Neon pothos are incredibly slow growing plants, so it’s possible that there was a previous incident with the roots and they just haven’t grown back yet. They take a very long time to grow at all, and root growth is just as slow. So long as the plant isn’t dying I would say not to worry, it’s likely fine.
