My plothos leaf is splitting and I did Dr. Planta, but it just says dry air, but I have multiple humidifiers and diffusers in my room. Could this be root rot? (I googled it and that’s what it said it could be.)

It’s likely mishandled if you have only one split and lots of humidity. There is no dry area contributing to the split. It just looks torn. Root rot causes yellowing, decay, and black spots. It doesn’t cause a leaf to randomly split. 🍀🪴

I get an occasional yellow leaf. Is that typical? Would I see it happening frequently if it was root rot?

Older leaves die off. It’s normal. They just slowly turn yellow all over then dry out. Root rot affects both leaves and stems and can’t take awhile to become completely damage as in the photo.

I agree with the above. It's most likely damage. I don't own any humidifiers or diffusers and have yet to have any issues with my pothos. 😊🪴

Definitely not root rot. Leaves occasionally get tears, rips and holes in them just from being moved around, aging etc. Nothing to worry about!
