How long does it normally take to root a Potho? Right now, I have a piece with two or three nodes on it in water with clay balls in it to keep it from flopping around and I heard having clay balls in it tends to strengthen the roots as they grow? Is there a better way?
Woah, I have never heard of using clay balls. Where did you get them? Sounds like a fun idea 🤷 My plants usually take about a month or three to propagate enough

Mine have taken a couple of months to grow roots in water. I’ve never heard anything about clay balls.

I have used clay balls with water propagation but saw no difference. I use them sometimes for aesthetics when I’m propagating in a clear deco vase.

In winter it will take longer but in summer pothos will root in a few weeks depending on the species.

For me it depends on conditions. When its warmer with more light they tend to root faster in comparison to relatively cold low light conditions. That being said, I've also had different pothos root faster than others. Usually under a grow light, mine start growing roots in about 3-4 weeks on average I think? Though if you already have a plant rooting in water, sticking new props in with them tends to help speed it up due to the rooting hormone already in the water.
