Grabbed some cuttings from my mom — known golden, but “grocery store mystery” on the variegateds. The image is two leaves on the same cutting — are we looking at n’joy or perhaps glacier? A lot of the leaves on mama plant have interior variegation rather than white on the margins. She has two variegated pothos and unfortunately I wasn’t paying attention to sorting, so I may have mixed together. Initially started these in water but decided after a day to just try soil — will let you know how it goes!

    Personally I would’ve let them grow water roots… it takes time. But once they have substantial water roots you can place them in pon or leca and they will thrive

    “The N joy’s leaves have dark green color at the center with white edges. Also, the leaf variegations are solid patches. Glacier, on the other hand, has a mix of green and white variegations, which are streaky and patchy the Glacier has round leaves, slightly small in size, and even all through the plant., the N joy has more symmetrical or oval-shaped leaves with a less rounded tip.” My guess is glacier?

    Could it be a manjula pothos? They have centre white, light “middle” streak and a dark green edge.

      I thought it might be a manjula too, but it doesn’t have any of the marbling? I’m not an expert by any means though!

      Can you tell me which of the varieties this might be? The leaves are not oval, they’re oblong with a point at the end. And if you can bring it into focus, the little leaf at the bottom on its own, has a dark mark with a yellow ring, is that sunburn? TXS for any info.

      I just saw the picture that was posted and it looks like you already answered my question. It must be a glacier. What about that lone leaf? Does that look like sunburn? If so, they’ve both been in a window with part full sun and part shade. Perhaps that’s not the right mix??

      Same!! I didn’t know there was a glacier type of pothos til now either! That’s a super handy infographic you posted thanks so much!! Who knew there were sooo many different shades of variegation in one plant!!! I really need to get a manjula pothos. They’re so pretty, and now I’m falling in love with the glacier!!

      Thanks to you both! I had kind of not even looked into manjula mainly because that seems to have more white than these do. I’ll have to go back and take a deeper look at the mother plant!
