Does anyone have any tips to get him bigger that 2 leaves? Rooted in water and just recently added to dirt about a month ago canât seem to put out any new growth yet I fertilize it once a week and itâs like nope nun for you itâs a global green pothos and the only one I have
Iâd say give it some time, especially if itâs recently potted to soil itâs probably working on rooting in right now

I donât know specifics to global green but for my pothos I have them in a pretty chunky soil mix so they donât stay too wet. Does your soil drain well or does it stay saturated for days?
1 gilla It drains decently I have to water about every week sometimes longer
0 gillningar The leaves donât indicate any over-watering but that was the only thing I could think of. I agree with Bri then. They unfortunately just take time after propagating. I propagated my p&j back in October and put it in soil once it got roots. It didnât start to put out new growth until February or March!

3 gillningarYou are not alone! I propped a pothos and it put out 2 leaves. The original leaves for super big, yellowed and fell off. I repotted to not loose the newbies and they had been sitting idle for a month or more. I then downsized the pot to a beginnerâs pot as I read that the roots like to be close; hoping that was the solution. But nope! They are still sitting and it has been yet another month! đ€Šđœââïž

Just to expand on what Bri said, but if it was in water, it had water roots. Now that it is in soil, it is working on making soil roots so that is why it is looking like it is not doing much. I have started planting everything in clear pots so I can watch plant growth below the soil line.

I think of it like babies and kids. They start crawling, then stop trying to do anything new physically, but start learning new sounds/words. Then they stop learning new sounds/words and start trying to stand. Then they switch again. They grow in phases. Brain, body, brain, body. Sometimes plants look like they are doing nothing while they are growing up a storm. Roots, pups, activating new nodes, etc. as long as it looks healthy, itâs probably fine.đ
1 gillaPatience patience! They are now going to establish soil roots and it takes all their energy out. Once established theyâll slowly focus on leaves. It does take some time depending on some factors such as light, but as long as theyâre green and happy; thatâs all you should worry about right now :)
