Cutting gifted to me No clue what it is

Between Planta, ChatGPT and Google image search I cannot figure out what this plant is. The results they give are very obviously not correct, eg. Heartleaf Philodendron has come up a few times, amongst other things that it couldn’t be. It’s suffering because I don’t know how to care for the poor mystery plant 😭 Photos from when I acquired it from a hard rubbish dump, and now (shriveled and only 1 leaf). Please help!

I was hoping for an answer about what type of palm these are. I dug them out from under a cypress tree, where there were probably 30 little palms. Chat gpt, google, and planta are all giving different answers. Around where I dug up the palms there were many varieties of mature palms, I couldn’t see the whole property and investigate. However one variety I found that looked similar leaf wise grew to be a full blown tree, quite tall. Suggested varieties from are; Chinese fan palm Dwarf palmetto Dwarf fan palm Mexican fan palm TIA
