Can anyone identify what kind of cactus this is? It’s cute and small. Had it for like 4 months now from a cutting and has grown a lot of new leaves but they seem so small and dwarf like compared to a regular cactus. The app says is a bunny ear cactus but those seem way bigger than this and with so much thorns that this one doesn’t have.

2개 좋아요 Yes that is the closest plant I can think of but this one seems so much smaller than that. The mature plant where I got the cuttings from is also a small the nopales grow the biggest like 4 inches wide. The pot I have it in is a 8” pot and you can see how small it looks in there.

0개 좋아요 it's probably just young. that's sounds about right for a young prickly pear, they can take years to fully mature.
2개 좋아요Not to be that person, but you can upload the pictures into ChatGPT and see what it says. Then take that option and research it on Google to see if it looks like your plant
0개 좋아요 I’ve tried that different ai and all come to the same conclusion bunny ear cactus but if you then search for a bunny ear cactus it doesn’t look anything like that. Not even a baby bunny ear cactus plant looks alike. This one is like a Nopal but dwarf like. Never seen something like this. That is why it caught my attention when I first got it. And the person I got it from doesn’t know either what kind of cactus it is.
